Composite ScCeSZ-YSZ ceramics for solid oxide fuel cell electrolyte
Original language description
Composite ceramics obtained by 10Sc1CeSZ and 8YSZ powders sintering is proposed to be used as a material for the electrolyte of solid oxide fuel cells. The regularities of structure and mechanical properties of such ceramic formation, depending on the initial composition of the powder mixtures, are studied. With an increase in the 8YSZ ceramics content in the 10Sc1CeSZ-8YSZ composite samples (within 33-90 wt%), the porosity and the grain size decrease, which is accompanied first by the increase of its strength, and at the initial powders ratio of 50/50 and above by strength stabilization.
