Original language description
The EUROGRADUATE 2022 survey in the Czech Republic examined the career paths and attitudes of university graduates who graduated in 2016/17 and 2020/21, with the aim of providing data to improve education and employment policies in Europe. The online survey focused on a wide range of topics including employment, job security and job satisfaction. In general, unemployment is low among graduates, but younger undergraduates have a higher proportion of people outside the labour market. Czech graduates report relatively high job satisfaction, although a significant proportion of bachelors work below their qualifications. The investigation revealed key competences required in the labour market and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching. International mobility of Czech graduates is lower than the European average, while domestic mobility is higher, often for family reasons. Graduates show strong support for democracy and a higher level of civic participation compared to the general population. The findings provide valuable insights into the links between higher education and the labour market in the Czech Republic. The results highlight differences between bachelor and master graduates in their employability. Overall, the survey contributes to assessing the effectiveness of higher education and identifying areas for improvement.
