DisCo 2025 – Empowering Futures: Leveraging Digital Technologies in Education for Youth, Women, and Vulnerable Groups was a two-day international conference focused on the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in education. It took place at Microsoft’s offices in Prague and brought together researchers, educators, innovators, and education policymakers. The program featured keynote speeches, research presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops. Key topics included: AI in education – microlearning, MOOCs, explainable AI, generative AI, and personalized learning. Digital literacy – developing skills for teachers and students, gamification, and data literacy. Support for vulnerable groups – education for women aged 60+, students with special needs, and students in challenging circumstances. Educational design in the AI era – impacts on the arts and design fields, outlook for 2040. Data literacy and evaluation – use of data in schools, competency mapping, and diagnosis of curricular mismatches. The program also included poster presentations, workshops, and networking on board the ship, which fostered the sharing of experiences and international collaboration. The conference thus offered a concise overview of how digital technologies and AI can contribute to inclusive and sustainable education across various groups.
