Automatic code generation from MATLAB/Simulink in avionic application
Original language description
This paper deals with the feasibility of C-code automatically generated using the Simulink embedded coder environment in avionic applications. The model based approach provides extended possibilities for testing and rapid control prototyping. The testedalgorithms are then converted to C-code automatically. This method decreases the possibility of errors caused by hand coding. The main goal is to examine the potential uses of the model based approach and to define the procedure of code generation to meet DO-178C software standards. The possibility of automatic generation of separate code parts (tasks) is discussed as well as the possibility of automatic generation of entire systems including the scheduler and drivers for the target platform. The approach is verified on a digital signal controller TI-TMS320 where it is used for sensorless control of a brushless DC motor.
