Primary B-cell cardiac lymphoma
Original language description
The case presented primary B-cell cardiac lymphoma. Heart dissection revealed patches of white and pinkish tissue, having no clear borders and protruding into the left ventricle. Histological staining of the endomyocardial specimen revealed multifocal infiltration involving nontumorous T lymphocytes, histiocytes and plasma cells as well as atypical, intermediate to large-sized lymphoid cells with nuclei pleomorphism. Endomyocardial immunohistochemical staining showed cells positive for the CD20, CD79a, BCL6 and CD5 markers, which confirmed diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma. The immediate cause of death was chronic left ventricle failure due to infiltration of primary B-cell cardiac lymphoma.
