Equivalent Localization Element for Crack Band Approach to Mesh-Sensitivity in Microplane Model
Original language description
The paper presents a novel method for applying complex material modes such as the microplane model, in finite element calculations with variable finite element sizes, and with element sizes larger than the material characteristic length. The proposed method eliminates the mesh size sensitivity of the local microplane formulation.
