    The aim of this study was to examine the structural sensitivity of particular functional groups present on the benzene moiety to decontamination by VPHP. A precise and sensitive method for sampling, monitoring of decontamination kinetics as well as monitoring of structural changes in the process of VPHP decontamination was developed. Rapid and facile method based on GC-MS/MS on polysiloxane type of capillary column was developed and used for process monitoring. The process of sampling and GC-MS was validated and general rules of functional groups present on benzene ring as a valuable synthon in VPHP process were formulated.
