Original language description
Experimental validation of diesel engine Airpath and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) control system for integrated control of engine and aftertreatment system. The airpath controller has been validated on experimental Euro 5 MAN diesel engine with MAN company support. The Model based Predictive Controller (MPC) has been designed to control pneumatic Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve. The controller was hosted on ECU bypass system using ES910 and dSPACE prototyping units. The DOC catalyst control system for DPF regeneration has been designed and validated with Ford company. The MPC controller was used to control diesel fuel injection for DOC catalyst to stabilize the inlet temperature of DPF during regeneration.
