WP06V005 Packaging study of selected concept for exhaust gas energy utilization
Original language description
Engineering report describes configuration of the best alternative for exhaust gas energy utilization system. It uses combination of turbocharger and power turbine generator with axial turbine wheel. Turbocharger type is variable nozzle turbine. Power turbine gas inlet is axially connected to turbocharger gas outlet to minimize loses and minimize size for easy packaging. Clear specification of flow charakteristics for compressor and turbines were defined and optimized by using simulation model build inGT-Power tool. Reports describes trade-off curves between power generated and pumping loses due to higher backpressure.
