Original language description
The paper presents the results of long term fishpond sediment analyses and provides instructions for their effective use. Sampling has been carried out since 2011 as a custom activity in the whole area of the Czech Republic. At present, the database with sampling results contains approximately 170 locations. The analyses are mainly focused on toxic metals and polyaromatic hydrocarbons. The measured values are compared with the valid legislation and historical data from 1997 - 2002, obtained from dr. Gergel (about 400 localities). The results show that the limit values given by the regislation are exceeded only by the small percentage of sampling sites, i.e., most fishpond sediments (about 90%) meet the limits for their use on agricultural land or on „other areas“.
