As part of the LTI20007 project, negotiations on participation in international cooperation projects were held in Kazakhstan in Almaty from October 30 to November 4, 2023. The activities of individual departments and the research and instrument infrastructure of VŠÚO Holovousy s.r.o. were presented. Collections of genetic resources of fruit species in the form of field plantings, on-farm collections and collections preserved in the form of in vitro cultures and cryopreservation were also presented. Foreign institutions have shown interest in visiting, or even sending their employees and students of doctoral and master's programs to the newly built research infrastructure of VŠÚO Holovousy. During the visit, 3 agreements about international cooperation in the field of biotechnology and fruit woody species genebanks were signed between VŠÚO Holovousy s.r.o. and visited Kazakh research bases. These were the following institutions: Kazakh Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology.
