Relationships between deoxynivalenol content, presence of kernels infected by Fusarium spp. pathogens and visually scabby kernels in Czech wheat in 2003-2005

  • Original language description

The deoxynivalenol content, presence of kernels infected by Fusarium spp. pathogens and the frequency of visually scabby kernels in wheat intended for human consumption were monitored in 2003-2005. About 1,000 samples provided by growers from various regions of the Czech Republic were analysed each year. Immunochemical assay ELISA-based kits for the analysis of deoxynivalenol content were employed. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, deoxynivalenol was detected at the maximum levels of 5090 ?g.kg-1, 18300 ?g.kg-1 and 4437 ?g.kg-1, respectively. Significant correlations were found between the deoxynivalenol content and percentage of kernels infected by Fusarium spp. pathogens, and percentage of visually scabby kernels. In all years under study, the relationship between the deoxynivalenol content and percentage of visually scabby kernels was closer than that between the deoxynivalenol content and percentage of kernels infected by Fusarium spp.

Vztah mezi obsahem deoxynivalenolu, přítomností zrn napadených patogeny Fusarium spp. a fuzariózními zrny v české pšenici v letech 2003-2005

  • Czech description

V letech 2003-2005 byl sledován v potravinářské pšenici obsah deoxynivalenolu, přítomnost zrn infikovaných patogeny Fusarium spp. a přítomnost viditelně fuzariózních zrn. Každoročně bylo analyzováno více než 1000 vzorků poskytnutých pěstiteli pšenice z různých oblastí ČR. Pro stanovení obsahu deoxynivalenolu byly použity kity pro imunoenzymatická stanovení ELISA metodou. V letech 2003, 2004 a 2005 byly maximální nalezené hodnoty deoxynivalenolu 5090?g/kg, 18300?g/kg a 4437?g/kg.
