  • Original language description

    This article deals with a study of properties of layers prepared by the method of liquid-phase siliconizing. The layers were prepared in aluminium melt containing 10, 20 and 30 % by weight of silicon on alloy TiAl6V4. Layers of considerably inhomogeneousmain phase Ti5Al12Si3 are formed in melts with low content of silicon. Formation of layers rich in TiAl0.3Si1.7 phase can be expected in melts with high silicon content. In comparison with the layers from the melt with low silicon content, the layers from the melt with higher silicon content grow more quickly and have lower percentage of aluminium in the layer structure. All layers prepared in this way have good protective properties in high-temperature oxidation.
