The effect of titanium on passive state stability of austenitic stainless steels
Original language description
The effects of titanium and niobium in the solid solution on passive state stability of CrNi and CrNiMo steels as well as on their localized corrosion are compared. Electrochemical polarization measurements also after sensitization involving reactivationfrom the outset of the passive region (at 0.1 or 0.0 VSCE) indicated a reduction of the critical reactivation current density for the titanium-stabilized steels.
