In the last 20 years corrosivity of the atmospheres decreased in many countries as a result of applied legislative, economic and technological measures leading to reduction of acidic air pollution, mainly SO2. Current zinc and zinc coatings lifetime is relatively high depending on their thickness in mild atmospheric environment The examples of reduced service life of HDC infrastructures in specific microclimates are given. One of the specific corrosion environments is surrounding of roads where the corrosion stress increase due to high air pollution and deicing salt deposition,
