    Assessment of actual material properties of deasphalting tower in refinery using small punch test method

  • Original language description

    The report summarizes the results of mechanical and fracture properties of deasphalting tower in refinery based on small punch test method. The main goal was to evaluate toughness of the material that has been in operation since 1949. Extracted material was divided into three groups (as-sampled, after heat treatment simulated PWHT, after heat treatment simulated over ageing). Based on determined values of TSP temperature the transition temperature DBTT of every state was calculated using corelation. Effect of heat treatment on transition temperature was assessed.
