Investigation of seamless tubes using special testing technique
Original language description
The aim of the research was to measure material properties of steels for the automotive industry and define the limits of technological conditions for their operation. For analysis of the impact strength of pipes in the transverse direction had to be developed special testing methodology. The research has been the development of methodologies thus testing of ring samples and their subsequent analysis comprising determination of transition curves, Charpy tests of ring specimens, the tensile test, the analysis of the microstructure, the proportions of the phases, the hardness, the grain size distribution. Steel for the automotive industry should be tested under actual operating conditions (method of loading, ambient temperature, the chemical compositionof the atmosphere, pressure, etc.).
