Use of UV Radiation for Hygienization of Clarified Water in Energy Technology
Original language description
Within this paper, we present results of experiments performed with clarified water, which is further used in the energy technology. The aim was to disinfect the clarified water in order to protect further technology from reproducing and deposition of microorganisms. For this purpose, we suggested to treat the clarified water by UV radiation. We tested a system of UV light at various feed flow rates of the clarified water and evaluated its efficiency in water disinfection. As the main parameters, culturable organisms at 22°C and 36°C were evaluated, because they also represent ability of microorganisms to backward recover after the UV treatment.
