    Development, operation and lessons learned of the OKaP rig for fuel cladding irradiation in LVR-15 reactor

    An irradiation rig, named 'OKaP,' was developed at Centrum výzkumu Řež for use in the INCA JEEP project within the LVR 15 reactor. The rig is designed to irradiate pressurized tubes, simulating fuel cladding, at temperatures exceeding 300 °C, exposed to fast neutron fluxes up to 6.3E+13 cm-2s-1. This setup facilitates the study of irradiation-induced creep in accident-tolerant fuel cladding materials. This paper outlines the rig's design, operational parameters, and operational experiences during irradiation in the LVR-15 research reactor. Challenges related to design, temperature control, and lessons learned are discussed, offering recommendations for future rig development and improvements.
