Original language description

This paper deals with an economic substantiation of the support of agriculture and characteristics of effects of particular types of grants. Agrarian markets keep gradually changing due to ongoing globalization processes. The support for produced commodities is declining in a system of grants of direct payments and project-drawn structural supports. The existing system of grants in agriculture is a very sensitive area for European policy makers. Therefore, the general conception and potential reforms of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union ranks among the most polemical topics.
