Genetic Background of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in the Czech Republic
Original language description
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a disease characterized by progressive fibroproliferative healing in individuals of older age and with evidence of genetic predisposition. Genetic variants connected with IPF which have been described to date concern mainly the genes coding surfactant proteins, mucin, senescence related genes, telomerases and also cytokines. We aimed to investigate a panel of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of these genes, namely MUC5B, DSP, DNASE1L3, ACE, TOLLIP, IL8, ATM, CYP2C9, TP53, CYP2C19, IL4, TREH_DDX6, FAM13A, FASTKD3, CDKN1A, IVD, MTR, SPPL2C, MDGA2, BHMT, PON1, C2, OBFC1, IL1RN, ATP11A, PRMT8, TLR3, ATG5, TGF-B1, IL12A-AS1, DPP9, SFTPC, and whole coding sequence of TERT and TERC genes.
