The lecture presented at EANS 2025 – the Annual European Congress of Neurosurgery focused on innovative educational strategies in neurosurgical training using virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). The presentation highlighted the application of VR/AR technologies in surgical simulation, skills training, preoperative planning, and standardization of neurosurgical education. Emphasis was placed on the benefits of these tools for enhancing technical proficiency, patient safety, and training efficiency, as well as on current limitations, validation issues, and future perspectives in European neurosurgical training programs.
