Refinement of structure of the AlMnCu1 alloy by new type of the ECAP tool
Original language description
The AlMn1Cu system is used for manufacture of foils for food industry. Manufacturing method requieres great number of thermal-machanical operations. In order achieve highly fine-grained structure already after the continiuous casting process it was proposed to verify structural and mechanical properties of this alloy by the ECAP technology with new geometry of the pressing channel, which enables achievement of higher amount of deformation (and therefore of structure refinement). This represents reengineering of the SPD process by change of the deformation route at individual pases through the forming toll. At this process the amount of deformation increases by 20 tu 30 %, which leads to quicker grain refinement and therefore tu substantial enhancementof mechancial properties with preservation of good formability.
