Application of electrodialysis for mine water treatment
Original language description
Two case studies and one technology proposal presented in this article show that electrodialysis as an usable and economical concentration process in the upstream of salt crystallizers. High concentration ratios are achievable. This lowers the operatingcosts of evaporation and crystallization of the solid product salt. There is also the possibility of applying a combination of electrodialysis and reverse osmosis or nanofiltration for clean water production or NaCl salt quality increase
