Original language description
The aim of this work was to chemically pretreat impure glycerin (formed by transesterification) for the next purifying with electrodialysis. The purification means removing bigger molecules such as soap, esters or unreacted free fatty acids, which wouldcause irreversible fouling of membranes of electrodialyzer, from the glycerol phase. After the electrodialysis the glycerol should have high purity and therefore it can be further processed and used.
