Original language description
The aim of this work was to chemically pretreat impure glycerin (formed by transesterification) for the next processing with electrodialysis. The purification means removing bigger molecules such as soap, esters or unreacted free fatty acids, which would cause irreversible fouling of membranes of electrodialyzer, from the glycerol phase. The glycerol should have high purity after electrodialysis and therefore it can be further processed and used. Characteristic limit of electrodialysis process is defined by limiting current. Desalination process is characterized variation of conductivity diluate solution.
