Geometric Interpretation of Gauss-Jordan Elimination
Original language description
The development of ICT technologies (in this case of mathematics software, especially Cabri 3D Geometry) enables to partially reorient some traditional parts of the Mathematics. Let us speak about the Linear Algebra here - we can distinguish three ways of representing constructs here, namely the language of the general theory, the language of Vector Arithmetic and the geometric language of space in two and three dimensions, which is also used in a metaphorical way in dimensions greater than three. We will show in this article how the use of the Cabri can help to better understanding of the last way mentioned above - the geometric language. More precisely, the geometric interpretation of Gauss-Jordan elimination is shown. The process of finding solutions will be presented in figures drawn in the program Cabri 3D Geometry.
