Original language description
The article deals with simulation of solidification of aluminum alloy cast in laboratory mold. The distribution of the temperature fields in the volume of cast was investigated. Four different materials of mold was modelled and the rate of solidification in time of the cast was compared with analytic solution. The model serves for prediction of casting process conditions for specific product. For simulation the ANSYS Fluent software was applied
