Effect of mold material on temperature distribution in alloy cast
Original language description
The article deals with simulation of solidification of aluminum alloy cast in laboratory mold. The distribution of the temperature fields in the volume of cast was investigated. Four different material of mold was modelled and the rate of solidification in time of the cast was compared with analytic solution. The model serves for prediction of casting process condition for specific product. For simulation the ANSYS Fluent software was applied.
