    The main topic of this article is concentrated to the evaluation of a Laser-hybrid welding technology applied for the WELDOX 1100 steel.The company Schäfer-Menk is main supplier of the telescopis parts for the world s second biggest crane producer company Tadano. Today, the Schäfer-Menk s.r.o. company can produce telescopic parts with a combination of MAG and SAW (Submerged arc we lding) technology. Because of increasing the production requested by customer, the current welding technology should be replaced. The company suggested replacing of current technology by Laser-hybrid technology. Before the implementation of the Laser-hybrid technology to the production, the quality of the welding proces had to be verified and confirmed. The confirmation was done by a WPQR according to the DIN EN ISO 15614-14 standard.This article contains the main results of the standard requested tests as well as the microstructure evaluation for the tested specimens.
