Original language description
The research described in this paper is focused on the development of logical thinking of an elementary school pupil through playing the games Mastermind, NIM and Sudoku. The games were played for three months one lesson per week. Based on the availabledata, it was possible to reach two conclusions. The first of these conclusions is that the pupil's level of abstraction and correct reasoning at age 12 - 15 is affected by the factor of one's intelligence and that these skills are also reflected in one'sresults in mathematics. The second conclusion is that it is possible to positively influence not only elementary pupils' ability of abstraction but also their ability of correct reasoning by medium-term math and logic games playing.
