Original language description
The aim of the following contribution is to describe differences and similarities in foreign language education at the Universities of the Third Age in the Czech Republic, in Scotland and in Malta. The contribution is based on findings from a research trip to the UK and Malta and on the long-lasting research of the topic done within Ph.D. studies at the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. Universities of the Third Age offering 'senior education' have been established in many countries of the world. But the system of its organisation, the courses offered and approach to older people differs. The contribution brings description of three approaches and their comparison.
