  • Original language description

This article describes the relationship of pupils to school and their motivation for learning and how these variables are by their parents? education. The text itself is divided into several parts. The first section describes the way in which pupils? attitude towards school was verified based on the degree of identification with several statements (I like to go to school, I belong to a school, I find school boring, I feel lonely at school, I try to achieve the best results). In the second part, the pupils? motivation for learning is verified based on several published questionnaires and finally all the obtained data is tied with the education of respondents? parents. The selection of the respondents was carried out in such a way so that the research includes pupils with parents that have education from primary to university level and that there were representatives in all categories. The testing was attended by approximately 200 respondents from the Czech Republic. The basic description points out the fact that pupils are often bored at school, they feel lonely and almost no one pursues absolute performance. The relation of these variables with motivation for learning and parents? education is commented on in greater detail.
