Business inclination and personality attributes that cultivate it - Regional case study from the Czech Republic
Original language description
This study investigates significant factors of inclination towards doing business and business engagement among students at different regional universities. The analysis is based on a questionnaire survey among 1,356 university students from the Czech Republic. There are 10 colleges in our dataset, three of which focus on economic education and the rest is distributed in different educational areas. The analysis was conducted using ordinal logistic regression models. The results show that there are two personal attributes tightly associated with business inclination: risk-acceptability and initiative. In both cases, it is likely that these are predictors of business engagement. With other factors fixed, all three economic colleges investigated in this study show the same level of these attributes. Also, all economic colleges share the same 253 | S t r á n k a level of business inclination among their students. The study also includes implications and incentives for further research.
