Sorption of dyes from aqueous solutions onto fly ash

  • Original language description

Fly ashes were tested as potentially low-cost sorbents for the removal of synthetic dyes from wastewaters. The adsorption isotherms were measured for several dyes and the sorption capacities were estimated from the isotherms. Effects of some operationalparameters, such as the presence of surfactants, on the dye sorption were examined.
