Diagnostic and prognostic significance of a panel of serum and urinary biomarkers in anca-associated vasculitis
Original language description
The study group included 48 patients with AAV (M/F 29/19, median age 62.5 years [range 28-81]) with samples collected at the time of their renal biopsy. Soluble CD163, EGF (epidermal growth factor), DKK-3 (Dickkopf-related protein 3) and PRO-C6 (formation of collagen type VI) were measured in both serum and urinary samples using ELISA method. Urinary markers were all normalized to urinary creatinine. Renal biopsies were evaluated with a scoring system for AAV and interstitial fibrosis was quantified according to the Banff schema. Statistics was performed with the use of linear discriminant analysis.
