The aim of this text is to find out how cultural memory is involved in the relationship between society and space. Whether the space influences cultural memory. This text describes this on the example of history of city Most. On base of the books of Maurice Halbwachs, Jan Assman and their methodology we are trying describe changes which was happened in this region after WWII. How the new society looked for their own relationship to the landscape, monuments and the others things and how developed the relationship this complete new society to the region and landscape.
