Original language description
The curator of contemporary art often works on exhibitions in many specific places, not only in gallery institutions. Some exhibitions are held in churches, in summerhouses, in flats, or in old petrol stations, etc., but also in the public spaces of a city - streets, parks, squares. ln this case it does not mean street art or mural pieces, but really creating an exhibition with artworks. This open space under the sky sets particular conditions for curatorial work and we can talk about a special curatorial approach. We know many examples from abroad, mostly exhibitions of sculptures or festivals of arts, but the focus of this article is on gallery platforms in a local public space. Some of these galle-ries are often called alternative, they have recently opened {or have irregular opening hours), some are 'roofeď and their location is in a public space where people walk every day or children play.
