The use of specific matrix operations at the calculation of freight transport logistic chains
Original language description
This paper presents the possible approach to the calculation of freight transport demand matrix with the help of specific matrix operations – matrix convolutions. The trips with more destinations (trip chains, tours) have been analysed with the viewpoint of choice of sequence of individual destinations with the minimization of transport time and costs. Attention has been paid to looped trip chains, when the journey ends (after servicing n destinations) in the same place where it started. The paper contains formulas for the calculation of n-leg trip chains as well as practical application – example of the script in R-project.
