IMPOSAT - A new method analysing work needs and their satisfaction, tested on Czech public transport drivers
Original language description
For an effective public transport skilled and motivated drivers are necessary. For that case we developed a new methodology to analyse work-related needs as factors of job satisfaction. Theanalysis consists of three steps: 1. Focus groups defining work-related needs of employees. 2. Questionnaire survey focused on the importance and fulfilment of work-related needs of employees. 3. In-depth interviews or focus groups with employees that provide more precise interpretation of results. 41 respondents were included in the qualitative and 348 respondents in the quantitative part of the study. The method provides a large amount of information, and the results are understandable for management as well as for the employees and therefore it can be widely used by the transport companies.
