    The paper focuses on the Physical Protection System modelling for effectiveness evaluation. The paper summarizes approaches and best practices employed in the nuclear facilities that are generally applicable in critical infrastructure high-risk facilities. The selected findings of research and development are presented including a new approach to Vital Area Identification using Attack Trees and a tool developed for PPS effectiveness evaluation that enhances currently-used tools.
