Original language description
The aim of this paper is to present the particulars of result research in the UHF measurement method of starting process partial discharge (PD) inside of high voltage oil filled power transformers. The presence of PD is one of the crucial phenomena in high voltage transformers and the PD occurrence level has to be watched in order to prevent the transformer failure. PD is characterized by the electromagnetic wave radiation in ultra high frequency (UHF) band too. The results of the first measurement in the 400kV / 15,75 kV, 300 MVA transformer is presented in this paper.
