Some aspect of durability of concretes with ternary binders
Original language description
A risk of alkali silica reaction is discussed in the present paper. Mineral admixtures are well known as effective agents for the lowering of the risk of alkali-silica reaction consequences. The ground granulated blast furnace slag and fly ash are oftenconsidered as convenient admixtures. Blends - ternary binders - of these admixtures with grounded limestone, grounded recycled concrete (as a supplementary source of calcium ions) and filler from quarries were tested in accordance with ASTM C 1260-94. The used aggregates is a highly dangerous sand. The effect of binary or ternary mixtures on ASR is discussed in this paper.
