The paper shortly describes UJV Rez activities in support of a new generation control room licensing using benefits of virtual modeling. The basic virtual model of a general layout has been developed and methods and tools for evaluation and verificationof psychological and/or ergonomics issues are ready to be tested in the next phase of the project. UJV effort is focused to meet all mandatory requirements according to international and national guidelines (NUREG 0700, CSN EN ISO 11064 etc.). The testbed is evaluated in aim to verify: sufficient space for pathway between objects, sufficient operators working and manoeuvring space, visibility and/or availability of selected devices, readouts and components and ability of operators to hear clearly each other. The testbed serves as an example illustrating how to use benefits of advanced simulation and information technologies for control room licensing support.
