    Various sex discrimination methods now available in poultry were discussed. the traditional methods in poultry breeding are vent sexing and feather sexing of day old chicks, but the the technology is labor intensive. The molecular methods in sexing of poultry seem to be promising in the fu´ture, which make use of the sex linked sequences or genes.
