The Czech andragogical discussion is characterised by two approaches to the handling of the issue of adult learning and education. These two approaches differ in assumptions, theoretical foundations and definitions of the objectives of the discipline. Certain misunderstandings and misinterpretations arise from assessments of these two approaches, and this article aims to shed some light on them.
