Original language description
While with conventional cam mechanisms, the structure (design) (stiffness of the links of a mechanism) and production (manufacturing tolerances and geometric accuracy of cam active surfaces) can affect the positioning accuracy of the work links, the situation with the electronic cams is different. The electromagnetic coupling of the stator-rotor of the electronic cam servo motor is principally compliant and is the basic cause of the different magnitude error rates depending on the mode, movement dynamics of the working link (member). This positional error can be affected in various ways.
