Original language description
Metal colloid nanoparticles, which are exploited to enhance the Raman spectra signals, were studied by transmission electron microscopy. Ag nanoparticles and their aggregates change upon addition of HCl to the system formed by Ag colloid with 2,2'-bipyriine system. Large Ag particles (30 - 80 nm in size) appear in the system at the expense of original small particles (about 9 nm in size). Dissolution of small particles and growth of bigger particles is characteristic for the system.
