TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENTS WITH LASER INDUCED FLUORESCENCE USING AN ARGON-ION LASER
Original language description
The method of Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) is used in fluid mechanics as a non-intrusive method to investigate the temperature field. An Argon-Ion laser was used as a light source. The stability of Argon-Ion laser at time was measured and compared with Nd:YAG laser. Rhodamie B was chosen as a temperature sensitivity fluorescent dye. The calibration experiment was done for two kind of water (tap water and boiled tap water). The relation between the temperature and the fluorescence intensity was measured in the temperature range of 20 to 60 degrees C.
