"The article deals with measurements of linear changes of castings from foliated Zn and its alloys and pure Al during their solidification. For this purpose the measuring apparatus, which applies a dilatometer of Polish provenience, was made up. Dilatation curves Zn and Zn alloys, Al-alloys were acquired during the casting process. In the case of Zn alloys and pure Al the influence of chemical composition and metallurgical treatment (with the use of refining salts) on linear changes during solidification and on the dimension of shrinkage originating was observed.

Tento článek pojednávám o měření lineárních změn odlitků ze zinku a jeho slitin a čistého hliníku během jejich tuhnutí.Pro tyto účely bylo sestrojeno měřící zařízení s dilatometrem polské výroby.Dilatační křivky zinku a zinkových slitin,hliníkových slitin byly získány během těchto procesů.V případě zinkových slitin a čistého hliníku byl sledován vliv chemického složení a metalurgického zpracování (použití rafinačních solí) na lineární změny během tuhnutí a na velikost smrštění.
